Dish Network Adds HD Locals in Grand Rapids, MI and Memphis, TN

Dish Network just announced the addition of HD locals in Grand Rapids, MI and HD local channels in Memphis, TN. This pushes the popular satellite provider even closer to their goal of 100 HD local markets by the end of 2008. The addition of these two new markets bring the satcaster's overall total up to 61 HD local markets, covering over 68% of TV households in the US. Dish Network Adds 8 More HD Markets

Dish Network announced today the addition of 8 new High Definition (HD) local markets.

Dish Network announced earlier this year they would work towards expanding their HD line-up to 100 local markets and 100 national HD channels by the end of the year. Two more satellite launches are planned this year in order to enable Dish Network to reach this goal.
